Picaflor Mezcal Espadin celebrates the hummingbird and it's integral role in the pollination of the agave plant. Double distilled in 350-litre copper pot stills, this artisanal mezcal is hand-crafted in San Luis Del Rio, Oaxaca using traditional techniques ensuring a smooth finish.

Tasting Notes: Slightly smoked and well-balanced taste. Hints of passion fruit, ripe pineapple and citrus. Full bodied on the mouth and harmonious after taste. Fresh undertones with a herbal touch that ends with sweet cooked agave notes.

Aroma: Herbal touch with hints of passion fruit

Taste: Pineapple, slight citrus notes, sweet cooked agave notes

Finish: Full bodied, harmonious, smooth

AQS

Authenticity: The majority of supplies obtained are sourced from the production site or proximity in Mexico to combat the carbon footprint.

Quality: As for distillation, part of the tails are reused for washing machinery, mixed with lime to neutralise them. In this way, blue copper sediments are avoided. As for the tips, the surplus is reused in the next distillation.

Sustainability: Natural pesticides are used on the crops and the land is cleaned twice a year. No nitrates or fermentation accelerators are used. The wood used is certified and therefore the abusive felling of trees is combated.

Picaflor Mezcal is dedicated to all the men and women that have worked hard to make this mezcal special. Enmezcalarte & Collective Spirits both have a "hand-to-hand" philosophy, in which the mezcal is bought directly from its producers and then brought straight to the table of the final consumer.
